A teaser poster of Witchblade, the upcoming movie adaptation of the comic book of the same name, is available:
(Click on the poster to enlarge it.)
But that's just a teaser poster: the lead actress (actresses?) of Witchblade has not been chosen yet... Who would fit the job according to you? Megan Fox? Rhona Mitra? Natalie Martinez? Or who else?

Witchblade Movie in 2010

The comic book Witchblade created by Top Cow editors Marc Silvestri and David Wohl, writers Brian Haberlin and Christina Z, and artist Michael Turner is going to be adapted into a movie. It is still at an early stage, but Director Michael Rymer has been announced to helm the Witchblade movie based on a script by Everett De Roche. Unfortunately no idea yet about the cast of Witchblade.

The movie first tentatively scheduled for 2009, but it has since been push back to 2010, but 2011 would sound more credible...

The original comic book series follows the lives of two disparate women in New York City, Sara Pezzini and Danielle Baptiste. Sara is a tough-as-nails NYPD homicide detective who comes into possession of the Witchblade, a supernatural, sentient artifact with immense destructive and protective powers. The weapon has bonded with various women throughout history, Danielle being the most recent. Others who have come into contact with the Witchblade include Cleopatra and Joan of Arc.
Sara struggles to hone the awesome powers of the Witchblade and fend off those with a nefarious interest in it, especially entrepreneur Kenneth Irons. She also struggles to maintain a personal life.

The original series has also been adapted into a TV series, an anime and a manga series.

Here's the premise of the Witchblade movie according to IMDb:

"A female detective fights crime with a mystical and powerful weapon." (IMDB)

Not enough to know how close the movie will be to the original comic book. Hope to know soon.
